Butula constituency is one the constituencies in Busia County created in 2007. The constituency has six ward namely; Marachi West Ward, Marachi North Ward, Elugulu Ward, Kingandole Ward, Marachi Central Ward, Marachi East Ward.
The constituency is currently represented by Hon. Joseph Maero Oyula. The constituency electoral number is 229.The constituency is largely inhabited by Marachi. The constituency office is located at Butula Town alongside Bumala –Ejinja Road.
